More butterflies from the Valley last weekend. I'm really excited about the Tropical Greenstreak-one of the butterfly people found it at Bentsen while I was there.

Things have been very slow up here, but there were several hundred Bohemian Waxwings south of the Tahquamenon River today. While the white skies did not make for a particularly good photographic opportunity, these are beautiful birds.

Well, I've been a bit snow bound today. I finally got sick of working on reports and articles all day, so I spent a little time going through some shorebird photos. Hopefully I'll be able to get out to the area where Snowy Owls are concentrating tomorrow.

We caught an ocelot yesterday- a great early birthday present! Yup, 30 has finally happened to me. Fortunately, it doesn't feel much different from 29.

Here is a headshot-what a beautiful cat. No release shots of this guy, he was too fast for me.
