I've been having a great time in southern Texas with Nova. The garden surrounding the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge visitor center is in our back yard. We've been getting great looks at Tropical Parula and a female Blue Bunting the last few days. Temperature in the 80's today and lots of birds......January's not so bad down here.

  1. Our family loves your blog! I've been admiring Chris' photography at the SLC Arts Council for years and am loving the brief updates on your travels and adventures. Our 4 year old particularly enjoyed the photo of the ocelot. Keep them coming!

  2. Wow, you live in bird/nature heaven! How can you leave there?

I live in Louisiana and photograph dragonflies, moths (I captured a fabulous pink/black spotted hawk moth a year ago), sunflowers, moonflowers and all flowers. I got the fabulous moth photo as he was drinking from one of my moonflowers. The mosquitoes almost ate me up, but I was determined and it paid off.

    Great blog!!
